HORIZON DSX drill

When investing in a seed drill, it is best to plan for long-term operation. We understand this is a significant capital expenditure, which is why we have designed our seed drill to be not only durable but also upgradable. You can start with a basic configuration and add to it over time, thereby expanding the capabilities of the machine and your farm at your own pace and overcoming agronomic challenges. Whether it's increasing the machine width, adding liquid fertiliser/liquid biologicals, row cleaning equipment, automatic downforce control, and so on.

Seeding legs

• D-shaped diffuser (zero air under the diffuser, removes all risk of seed bounce and blowout);
• The cutting angle ensures a natural clamping force and reduced groove compression;
• Adjustment of the closing wheel angle for different soil types and tillage methods;
• The end gauge determines the depth of the clamping wheel, allowing for varied clamping pressure linked to clamping force.;
• Seed box with removable wear-resistant compartment;
• Seed tab;
• Individual hydraulic clamping force control in-line;
• Lubricant-free parallel coupling made of steel with bushings, 320 mm vertical travel, ensuring uniform seed placement in uneven fields.

Row cleaners

They eliminate the risk of sudden turning, which is extremely important during strip-tillage drilling.

• Pneumatically activated Precision Planting Cleansweep rulers;
• Robust, maintenance-free bearings for precise linear motion.;
• Specially designed corners for tackling different row gaps;
• Concave row cleaner disc for handling all types of debris – from heavy corn stalks to chopped wheat straw.

Note:

For heavy residues, a 20 cm row spacing is recommended.

Closure circuits

• „V“ ring cultivation - for use on heavy soils, for non-inversion or shallow cultivation on heavy soils;
• „W“ ring – for min. cultivation / stubble cultivation in light and medium soils, closes under various conditions.

Measurement

• The Horizon measurement system provides unparalleled accuracy, performance, and reliability.
• Electrically powered, precisely adjustable with speed control function.
• Further functions:
  • It's easy to change the measuring rollers for different crop or fertiliser types.,
  • Plastic and stainless steel construction, eliminating the risk of corrosion,
  • reservoir flaps (close the seed reservoir when changing metering rollers).

I

Two tanks (2650L / 1750L) or three tanks (2250L / 400L / 1750L) are possible. A third seed tank and counter can be purchased new or as part of a retrofit kit.

We are among the few offering factory-fitted liquid fertiliser tanks, including a 1500-litre liquid tank which can be fitted at the rear or front.
