Fendt Former rakes

Meticulous work. Fendt Former rakes.

Do you expect only very high-quality feed to end up in the swathe and nothing else? Then you should definitely take a look at the advanced Fendt Former rakes. Thanks to their flawless work and working widths of up to 13.8 m, you can cleanly and precisely rake high-quality feed into swaths. Anytime and under any conditions.

Fendt

For over 90 years, Fendt has driven innovative technological advancements and set important benchmarks in agricultural technology. A story that never ends, because Fendt has embodied progress born from tradition from the very beginning.

All tractors are designed and manufactured exclusively in Germany. The manufacturer was the first to implement stepless, continuously variable speed control in production and practically realised the shift-by-wire machine control concept. Industrial machine design is developed in collaboration with Porsche Design Studio.

Single rotor rake

Three-point linkage with self-loading equipment. Versatile and easy to use. Working width 3.40–4.50 m.

Two-rotor rake

Side wrapper formation with a tractor hitch High manoeuvrability and flexibility with single or double wrapper formation Working width 6.30–7.00 m

Three-point linkage with rigid support „Alpin“

„Alpin“ specialist for front and rear use. Working width 3.60 m

Side-channel formation with a wheel chassis

A wide variety and high working speed with single or two-furrow formation. Working width 5.75–8.40 m

Central coupling formation with a wheeled chassis

Flexible working and swathe width and simple to use. Working width 5.80–10.00 m.

Four rotor rake

Formation of central swath with a trailed chassis. Maximum output with various working and swath widths. Working width 10.60–13.80 m

„Former“ - „Spotlights“ lights.

Here you will find exclusive Fendt solutions, the so-called „Fendt Spotlights“ lights, with which the difference is evident and which simply improve your work every day.

Rake heads

For perfect swathing in all harvesting situations, individual swathing technology is required. Depending on the application area and model, four different rake heads are fitted to the Fendt Former. As a rule, Fendt rake heads have a closed design, protecting all important components from dust and dirt, and feature large drive units and precise rotor arm housings made from an aluminium alloy. In summary – a guarantee of reliability, high fodder quality, and a long service life.

Full gimbal rotor suspension

Fendt's patented four-rotor rake's fully articulated rotor suspension ensures that
ensures a perfect adaptation to the soil surface even in challenging harvest conditions
for removal conditions. The rotors are suspended so that they can move freely, and,
regardless of the frame, it can adapt perfectly to uneven ground
in the directions of longitudinal and transverse inclination. Thus, in hollows and lowlands, it is not experienced
crop loss and safe avoidance of turf damage even in hilly terrain
for the insertion of stakes.

Jet effect

Specialised universal joint technology, combined with a rotor suspension outside the centre of gravity,
ensures they are lifted at the front first, and then at the rear. This is a jet
effect. The lowering process occurs in reverse: first the rotor is lowered

Bent track and its adjustment

Optimal swath formation is only achieved with an optimal cam track. The special cam track shape on the Fendt Former ensures that the tines are lifted and lowered precisely. With the standard cam track adjustment, the timing of the swath formation can be individually set according to the forage consistency and conditions, ensuring that a perfect swath is formed in all situations. This significantly increases the working capacity of following machines, especially on hilly terrain. The enclosed construction protects the cam track from dirt and dust, and the permanently lubricated rotors ensure exceptionally smooth running.

Rotor armatures

The tangential arrangement of the tines on the tine carriers also ensures optimal raking quality at higher speeds. The tine carriers are made from a single piece of highly stable material. A precise socket on the support arm reduces wear in load-bearing areas and makes fitting easier. In the event of a collision, the pre-set breaking point helps to avoid costly damage. The spring tines, screwed in from below, guarantee a large sprung travel, thus reducing contamination of the forage, and a smooth surface on the forage-facing side, meaning nothing gets caught. The tines can be conveniently, cost-effectively, and easily replaced individually without long downtimes.

Pavara

All Fendt Former rakes feature direct, maintenance-free freewheel clutches on the power take-off shafts and overload protection for each rotor. The advantages are immediately apparent: when the PTO shaft is disengaged, the rotors stop abruptly but continue to rotate slowly due to inertia until they come to a complete standstill. Furthermore, this allows the rotor arms to be moved into the transport position immediately after disengaging the PTO shaft. This reliably protects the power take-off. The direct power take-off also ensures longevity.
