Trioliet has been present on the Lithuanian market for 9 years now!

Last week, UAB ,,Ivabaltė“ visited one of the largest agricultural companies in Lithuania – Papilės ŽŪB. Nine years ago, the company acquired Lithuania’s first product of the brand ,,Trioliet”, a feed mixer-distributor TRIOLIET SOLOMIX 2 1600 VLL-B, which to this day excellently performs daily tasks on the farm. We spoke with the company’s chairman, Algis Revuckas, not only about the advantages and benefits of the feed distributor for the farm but also about the usual seasonal work and this year's harvest.

To date, the company declares an arable land area of 3397 ha. This substantial figure encompasses both crop cultivation areas and the area of maintained pastures. Arable land today is significantly larger and occupies the majority of the farm, with 396 ha allocated to meadows. The company is involved in growing a wide variety of crops, cultivating practically everything except sugar beet, which means their accumulated experience aids in making the best decisions on the farm.

Livestock farming is not abandoned

Although the current milk market situation and prices are not encouraging, the company is successfully engaged in livestock farming. It currently keeps 656 cows, of which 571 are milked. The company currently milks 9,400 kg of milk per cow. In 2014, the company ranked 7th in Lithuania for milk yield per cow, milking 9,893 kg of milk from each cow.

According to Algi Revucko, for milk yield to be satisfactory, we must, without a doubt, properly care for and feed the animals. One of the reasons for a successful farm is the appropriately chosen equipment. In this case, the Trioliet feed mixer-distributor has been performing excellently at the PAPILĖS agricultural cooperative for nine years. And the feeding scales are truly not child's play; over 865 cows are fed with the distributor each month, meaning the unit mixes a total of 1,221 tonnes of feed. Among these are grain feeds amounting to 82 tonnes, maize – 426 tonnes, silage – 470 tonnes, oat silage – 35 tonnes, straw – 27 tonnes, and compound feed – 181 tonnes.

The company director states that he is very pleased with this purchase and that the feed spreader serves excellently every day and has not caused any problems. In 9 years, only routine wear and tear parts have had to be replaced.

How better to assess the advantages and disadvantages of machinery than on a farm, where the capabilities of the machinery are fully tested and work proceeds without interruption. It was curious to find out how UAB Ivabaltės' machinery copes with the farm's workload.

For such a large livestock farm, silage making is an integral part, and the company has acquired two Lely brand balers, which, according to the company chairman, “press excellently" and that they are very happy with them. The Dutch company LELY offers professional green fodder harvesting machinery to the market. Lely The machines are characterised by not only outstanding performance but also fuel economy of up to 1 l/ha.

However, while the company chairman is working in the fields, employees work in shifts. Since the areas are large, powerful machinery is also used accordingly. The company has acquired two Challenger tracked tractors and four Fendt tractors from UAB Ivabaltė. The farm mechanic also commented on the Fendt tractors, stating that compared to others, these tractors have “weight“ and there are no problems working in the fields. The tractor's traction corresponds to its power capabilities, as the farm employees themselves stated: "it pulls as much as is needed," according to the established standards.

Fields are also fertilised with new Rauch smart fertiliser spreaders. At this farm, the machinery certainly doesn't stand still, and work is always carried out intensively and precisely. For quality work, it's important that the machinery is reliable and has as few breakdowns as possible. The company is pleased with the promptness and professionalism of the UAB Ivabaltė service.

Trioliet – Dutch quality

The largest Dutch manufacturers of specialised feed preparation and distribution equipment. All Trioliet mixer-feeders have an extremely stable vertical auger axis and chassis construction. All forces acting on the mixing auger are absorbed by the chassis.

,The ”Trioliet" standard is the Twin Stream auger. This auger ensures rapid feed mixing and a higher filling level. The vertically arranged auger system not only allows for more efficient silage chopping but also, due to rapid feed mixing, ensures uniform mass circulation in the tank, resulting in consistent quality. The augers, together with the mixer-feeder walls, are designed so that the loads during operation are transferred not to the machine frame, but to the auger supports. The increased distance between the auger flights and the tank walls ensures freer and faster movement of the mass. The optimal shape of the Twin Stream auger ensures fast and high-quality mixing with low power requirements. Due to the two symmetrically arranged blades at the bottom of the auger, rapid and uniform feed discharge is ensured.
