On October 6th-7th, AB Ažuožerių sodai hosted the launch of the M500-2000 mulcher and RFL700-2000 deep tillage mill from the German company AHWI Maschinenbau GmbH. A representative from the factory attended. The capabilities of the machinery were tested in a thirty-year-old plum orchard.
The M500 shredder is designed for tractors with 100-180 HP. Available working widths are 1800, 2000, or 2300 mm. The rotor has 42, 48, or 54 working teeth respectively. The rotor diameter is 500 mm. The shredder is intended for work in forests, orchards, and for reclaiming abandoned, overgrown areas.
The RFL700 mulching headstock is designed for 140-190 HP machinery. You can choose units with a working width of 2000 or 2300 mm (with 48 or 56 working teeth respectively). Rotor diameter is 700 mm. Standard working depth is up to 20 cm. With the help of special cutters, a working depth of 30 cm can also be achieved. Suitable for reclaiming abandoned land, renovating orchards and forests, and for infrastructure improvement and development works. Stumps and tree roots are shredded in one pass, the soil is loosened, and the shredded wood is incorporated, turning into natural fertiliser.
Thanks to the aggregates, significant time and financial costs are avoided, the labour- and machinery-intensive stump removal process is unnecessary, and soil quality is naturally improved.
