Available plough models: EurOpal and VariOpal.
- „The “EurOpal„ and “VariOpal" ploughs have a distance between plough bodies of 90 or 100 cm.;
- In the standard „EurOpal“ plough version, four different furrow widths can be set.
- „In the “VariOpal" model range, hydraulic working width adjustment is standard. A double-acting hydraulic cylinder allows the furrow width to be set between 22 and 60 cm (depending on the distance between bodies) and is set for each plough body from the tractor driver's seat. This is the ideal solution for any tillage requirement;
- „The standard equipment for Europal and VariOpal ploughs includes a stone safety system with shear pins. If the soil contains a lot of stones, the plough bodies can be protected by a mechanical “Tandem„ (with springs) or hydraulic “HydriX„ body protection system.
The ideal plough adjustment, helping to save time and money. Precise plough adjustment is essential to minimise wear on wearing parts and fuel consumption during ploughing. For this reason, LEMKEN has developed the „Optiquick“ adjustment system, which is used on „EurOpal“ ploughs. The „Optiquick“ system allows for quick and easy adjustment of the first furrow's working width and the traction line between the tractor and the plough, saving time and reducing costs.
„EurOpal“ first furrow width and plough draft line adjustment. The plough is ideally adjusted when the line of draught of the plough passes through the centre of the tractor's rear axle.
- First, the width of the plough's first furrow is set. The external adjustment screw is used for this purpose.;
- The centre of draft for the plough is not ideal when the line of pull does not pass through the centre of the rear axle, which can lead to the tractor being pulled to the side during ploughing. To eliminate this sideways pull, additional adjustment of the regulating screws is required. Once this adjustment is made, the centre of draft for the plough is aligned. When performing the correction to the point of pull, the width of the furrow does not change.
„VariOpal“ plough with no side draught, Suitable for any working width. On VariOpal ploughs, the width of the first furrow and the line of pull can be adjusted independently.
- With the „Optiquick“ and „Vari“ technology, „VariOpal“ ploughs are always easy to pull, and there is no side draft – regardless of whether the working width is narrow or wide.;
- „Vari“ technology ensures that the width of the first furrow is automatically adjusted when the working width is changed.
LEMKEN ploughs are characterised by their superior quality:
- The perfect flipping mechanism. All LEMKEN mounted ploughs use the well-proven UNITURN hydraulic turning mechanism with double-acting cylinders. This mechanism ensures that turning is fast and precise, and no additional adjustment of the plough's angle is required during ploughing, even if there is a leak or pressure loss in the tractor's hydraulics.;
- Plough cylinder restriction. The hydraulic plough angling cylinder is particularly recommended for tractors with a low lifting height. This option is essential for Europal ploughs with five furrows or more. The plough angling cylinder significantly increases the distance between the land wheel and the ground during plough turning. The perfectly coordinated interaction between the angling and turning cylinders ensures precise and safe plough turning.;
- Rotation of the axis and axis mounting. The strong pivot axle is capable of withstanding long-term load. The axle is mounted on tapered roller bearings and is centrally lubricated. Hardened steel is used for the axle construction, which ensures high stability and wear resistance, and at the same time a long service life. Seals on both sides protect the bearings from contamination.;
- Adjustable height axle. The adjustable height axle always ensures the optimal position of the tractor's lower links.;
- Plough tilt angle adjustment. The plough's tilt angle can be adjusted separately on each side of the plough using the sealed nuts. The sealed nuts are easy to use and simultaneously prevent dirt from entering the thread.
- Square profile frame. The strong, thick-walled closed square profile frame is made of fine-grain steel and ensures a robust frame construction. The frame is designed so that an additional plough body can be mounted if required. The frame is lightweight and has a long service life.;
- Adjustable clamp for turning tools. The adjustable coulter grip and their attachment to the frame ensure high stability, reliability, and durability. When the central bolt is loosened, four different working widths for the coulters can be selected, from 30 to 60 cm (depending on the spacing between the bodies). The skimmers and disc coulters adjust automatically.;
- Distance between plough bodies. The mounting location of the plough bodies on the side of the frame and the geometry of the plough bodies produce an overall result of sufficiently large distances both between the plough bodies and between the plough bodies and the skimmers. Blockages during ploughing are avoided, even with a narrow plough working width setting. Additionally, double shear bolts are fitted to protect the plough mouldboard brackets.
- Hedges. The bush is mounted directly to the frame, and its pivot point is close to the plough body. The result is reduced stress on the bearings and associated parts. On the side of the frame are mounted plates featuring pivot points with wear-resistant bushes, hardened pins, and grease points. This ensures the plough frame remains robust and durable.
- Adjustable brackets. The main pivot axis is fitted with tension-absorbing bushes and is attached to the frame so as to provide a rigid pivot joint. The pivot bracket is also attached with securely locking flange bushes. For the adjustment of the groove width, two bushes are constructed, one moving inside the other, ensuring a long service life. Each worn part can be replaced individually;
- Frame plates, The swivel brackets and the main tie rod are bolted to the frame. Such a construction ensures strength and durability.;
- Flat plough bracket. The skimmer is mounted on a flat bracket and is securely fastened. All types of sweeps and mouldboards can be interchanged because the skimmer bracket is the same for all types of skimmers. Skimmers can be quickly removed if you wish to plough without a skimmer – just loosen two bolts.;
- Setting the working angle. „For the “EurOpal„ and “VariOpal" ploughs, a shear pin safety mechanism with an adjustment function for the working angle of individual mouldboard skimmers can be optionally selected. This allows for a very precise placement of the trash layer into the furrow.;
- Operating level adjustment. „The pre-ploughs on the EurOpal and VariOpal ploughs with automatic safety release can be repositioned along the plough frame. Pins are used to adjust the working depth of the pre-ploughs, requiring no tools. It is also possible to adjust the working angle of the pre-plough mouldboards.
- Ploughs can be with mouldboards of various lengths and ensures clog-free ploughing even in difficult conditions. The special mouldboard geometry minimises wear and extends service life. The mouldboards are specially shaped to separate the topsoil and lay it into the furrow, leaving a clean ploughed surface. For sticky soil and soil that exerts little pressure on the skim coulter, a plastic mouldboard can be selected;
- Kamparaižiai mounted directly onto the plough standard, they offer additional adjustment possibilities. They ensure clog-free ploughing and clean covering of the topsoil. For sticky soil, plastic mouldboards can also be selected;
- Underground soil aerator. The geometry of the special subsoiler tine is particularly effective for loosening the soil. The tine depth can be adjusted tool-free and, if necessary, it can be easily removed. All wear parts can be replaced individually.
Regulation range and maintenance. The pressure can be adjusted from 50 to 140 bar using the handle in the control unit. Individual limits can be set in the plough control unit, which are then activated by the tractor's controls. It is not necessary to make fine adjustments using the manometer. The rigid connection between the beam and the frame allows the „HydriX“ system to reset automatically using low system pressure.
While ploughing on unploughed land and in a furrow. The ARIMO mode, when the tractor travels on unploughed land with „VariOpal“ and „EurOpal“ ploughs, particularly protects the soil structure, as there is no risk of the tractor wheels compacting the soil in the furrow dug by the plough body.
- A tractor with dual wheels can be used – this allows for wider and more even distribution of pressure and power transfer forces, while at the same time better protecting the soil structure;
- All systems – whether the tractor is travelling on unploughed land or in a furrow – allow the field to be ploughed across the slope or down the slope, as well as at the edge of the field;
- These ploughs allow for quick hydraulic adjustment of the ploughing mode – when the tractor is travelling on unploughed land or when the tractor is travelling in a furrow – for example, when ploughing the last furrow;
- With the „ploughing in a furrow“ mode engaged, it is also possible to operate in adverse conditions close by, such as when the ground surface is wet. All the technological advantages of „Vari“ ploughs can be utilised in both modes.
The special depth control wheel design ensures a high ground clearance and an ideal working position, so the wheel is turned over safely and without impact. When the number of furrows and the selected working width allow, you can get close to the edge of the field, ditch, or fence. Ploughing depth is quickly and easily set with pegs. The depth control wheel automatically adjusts to changes in working width.
The depth control and transport wheel combination is an effective solution for safe road transport for 4-furrow and larger ploughs. The wheel's position can be quickly changed from transport to working position and vice versa. Working depth is easily set with pins – this requires no lifting of the wheel. For transport, the plough is locked in the central position. The depth control and transport wheel also allows for reversing.
When soil conditions vary, and ploughing is either shallow or deep (or the soil itself changes from heavy to light), it is crucial to adjust the working depth correctly to achieve a good ploughing result. The hydraulic depth control and the transport wheel allow for maintaining a consistent ploughing depth under such conditions. Even with a heavy plough or difficult soil, the working depth can be adjusted hydraulically with a single double-acting control unit. The integrated shock absorber ensures smooth reversal of the wheel during plough turning.
