Fendt Series E combine harvesters

Fendt Series E – these are medium-performance all-purpose combine harvesters for small and medium-sized farms. The main feature of this series of combine harvesters is that over 80% of all surfaces, including the straw walkers, are fully coated with corrosion-resistant zinc plating. Two types of cut

The small and medium-yield E-series combine harvesters can be paired with headers from 4.20-7.60 m in width:

• FreeFlow – with a Schumacher-type cutter bar. They are characterised by a high linear speed (1.73 m/s) and cutting frequency per minute (1220). Wide skids are used for automatic height adjustment.
• PowerFlow – with a branded auger conveyor fitted in front of the cutter bar. The latter is one of the best cutter bars on the market. It is particularly suitable for harvesting oilseed rape (no additional rape table is required) and for harvesting laid grain (no crop lifters are required). In practical trials, it has been confirmed that with PowerFlowThe combine header achieves up to 73% higher productivity when harvesting oilseed rape!

Threshing – Separation System

• The E-series combine harvester's threshing-separating system is equipped with a 0.6 m diameter threshing drum with a high moment of inertia. It has 8 beater bars and the same number of slats, which increase its mass and inertia. Therefore, the rotational frequency of the massive drum is more uniform, and it reacts less to overloads.
• At the end of the threshing drum, a scraper is fitted 1 mm from the drum. It prevents long straw and grass from wrapping around the drum.
• The 0.37 m diameter threshing drum is equipped at the bottom with an adjustable straw walker sieve ABC (Active Beater Concave). This increases the total separation area, reduces the speed of the mass movement and directs it straight onto the straw walkers. The mass is prevented from wrapping around the threshing drum, and by effectively reducing the amount of grain in the straw, grain losses from shaking are reduced.
• The combined wrap angle of the swivelling and striking drum sub-assemblies is 120 degrees.
• The straw chopper is standard equipment on all E-series combines. Combines with 5 straw walkers use choppers with 52 double-sided serrated knives.

• High-capacity cleaner sieves HC with plate sieves act as efficient air flow guides. They ensure the best cleaning performance and the cleanest grain.
• The smart threshing system returns unthreshed ears back to the threshing apparatus, and the double-sided toothed knives and counter-knives ensure excellent chopping quality.

Grain bin and unloading

• Grain tank capacity – 5200 l capacity (5185E) and 6500 l capacity (5225E). Grain tank with a centrally located auger for even filling. Unloading rate – 72 l/s (5185E) and 85 l/s (5225E).
• 4.2m folding discharge auger. The auger is folded, the discharge is started and stopped by pressing a button on the multi-function lever. Maximum discharge height 4.2m.

Engine and transmission

• AGCO Power 4-cylinder, 4.9-litre (5185E) and 6-cylinder, 7.4-litre (5225E) displacement engines with SCR, AdBlue technology, meeting stringent Stage V/Tier 5 emission requirements, ensure the most efficient fuel consumption.

The cabin and controls

• Spacious and ergonomic cab – with automatic air conditioning and heating system, simple controls, and combine operation using Agritronic Pluswith a clear menu hierarchy and intuitive controls (5220 E).
• A multi-function lever, perfectly adapted for the operator, controls precise hydrostatic transmission, essential cutter, leveller and discharge system functions.
