A history dating back to the 18th century
In the 1780s, near Xanten in West Germany, Wilhelm Lemken began producing his first ploughs in his blacksmith's shop for neighbouring farms. Some time later, one of his descendants patented an innovative reversible plough model, which went into mass production in 1925. A decade later, the company established itself in the Alpine region, ready for growth. The company has been successfully expanding for some time, not only in its native Germany and Europe, but also on other continents. LEMKEN is welcomed in China, India and the USA, as the manufacturer understands and can adapt to the agricultural subtleties of each region.
