At the start of the year, the „Top League“ of agricultural machinery is traditionally announced in Germany. For the eighth time in a row, the „Fendt 724 Vario“ has become the best-selling tractor. This model is one of the most popular in the entire Fendt range and in Lithuania.
According to PROFI magazine (2023/03), a total of 30,344 new tractors were registered in Germany in 2022. This means that the German tractor market decreased by 4,128 units compared to 2021. The reduction was caused by a shortage of components and the ongoing consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As in 2021, Fendt leads the statistics for new tractor registrations in Germany across all performance classes above 201 HP in 2022. In the 201–300 HP performance class, 1773 Fendt tractors were newly registered – 644 machines more than the second-placed brand. In this class, Fendt offers models from the 700 Vario Gen6 series. In classes from 301 HP, Fendt's product range includes the 900 Vario and 1000 Vario series of large tractors, as well as Fendt tracked tractors.
„The table of most popular models is strongly dominated by green. A remarkable 887 units of the versatile „Fendt 724 Vario“ were registered in 2022,“ writes PROFI magazine. Thus, the „Fendt 724 Vario Gen6“ model takes first place among all tractors in Germany for the eighth consecutive time. As in previous years, in 2022 German farmers also eagerly opted for machines from the „Fendt 700 Vario“ and „Fendt 500 Vario“ series. In second place among the most popular Fendt tractors is the „516 Vario“, with 712 units registered. As in 2021, the „Fendt 718 Vario“ ranks third, with 415 new registered machines.
„The Fendt 700 Vario and 500 Vario series tractors are compact, agile, and versatile. It is precisely these characteristics that make them so popular among German farmers. The FendtONE concept, with its entire range of smart farming options, also contributes to their popularity, enabling efficient and resource-friendly work. “In 2022, we introduced the completely new seventh generation Fendt 700 Vario series with the most powerful 728 Vario model, and we expect to continue the success of the sixth-generation models,„ says Andreas Löwel, Fendt Sales Director in Germany. “The results of the German Tractor „Top League“ and the overall victory in the registration statistics once again confirm that professional farmers and contractors in Germany trust Fendt.„.
